Monday morning 5:05 am. I had made a commitment to myself that I would blog everyday. I believe in setting good habits. I am hoping to start making a change in my life and to help others along my journey. If you are remotely like me, you don't like getting up M-F in the am to go work for the man. Just to pay someone else to raise your kid and be too physically worn out to enjoy your days off. I am tired. Tired of where I am in my life. I am an intelligent person. Circumstance has brought me where I am today. I have responsibilities. But I want change.
Before I can make a change in my life, I have to stay with the security of my job. (Especially in today's economy.) Baby steps is what I have been aiming for. I need to get physically well before I can make any major changes. And that is where I come to giving you some insight of what I have found. Like I previously mentioned, I didn't want to go in for surgeries. I don't like the knowledge of going under the knife, with no guarantees and major bills to pay on top of that. I knew that if our great-great-ancestors survived without all of these modern necessities, how come we can't? We are an impatient generation. Wanting quick fixes. Told that this is the way it is. Sure, they get rid of the pain. Temporarily. Our body was designed to take care of itself, if we take care of it. I ancestors didn't go to McD's after work. Get a prescriptions for IBS, or Ritlin for "ADHD" children. These things didn't exist and yet they lived productive lives. Why? Because our bodies were not made to survive on what we put in it. But I am lazy. And didn't want to readily give up on my modernized way of life. So I started looking for the simple solutions.
I believe the first thing I came across was the Kinoki Pads. You know the ones, "as seen on TV". I did do my research on them and there is a lot of give and take on those. Some say they don't work and some say yes. For me, it is all a matter of personal opinion. No, I didn't detox my body the way the ad promises, but I did sleep better and felt more rejuvenated in the morning. So are they worth it? Well, is sound sleep worth it? I'd say yes. If you choose to do your research on them, just bare in mind that those are personal opinions you come across. Everyone is different. Do I believe everything I read? No. That's why I like to form my own personal opinion and encourage you to do the same.
